Creativity and Problem Solving for Care Managers & Care Supervisors

Aim

To provide care managers and supervisors with practical tools and techniques to encourage creative thinking, problem solving, and innovation within health and social care settings, helping to improve team performance, service delivery, and quality of care.

 Objectives

By the end of the course participants will:

  • Recognise common barriers to creative thinking and problem solving within health and social care environments
  • Understand the process of creativity and innovation and how it can support continuous improvement in care services
  • Explore practical methods of creative thinking, including the use of De Bono’s Thinking Hats to support decision-making and problem solving
  • Develop confidence in identifying solutions to workplace challenges in a structured and collaborative way
  • Appreciate how creativity and innovation can improve communication, teamwork, efficiency, and service user outcomes
  • Recognise the role of leadership in encouraging new ideas, reflective practice, and a positive workplace culture
  • Practise problem-solving techniques that can be applied to everyday situations within care settings
  • Understand how involving staff in creative thinking and solution-focused approaches can improve engagement and accountability

Target Audience

This course is designed for Care Managers, Care Supervisors, team leaders, senior carers, and others responsible for leading, managing, and supporting teams within health and social care settings.
