Presentation Skills for Care Managers & Care Supervisors

Aim

To develop the skills and confidence to design and deliver professional and engaging presentations within health and social care settings, enabling participants to communicate clearly, influence others, and engage effectively with different audiences.

 Objectives

By the end of the course participants will:

  • Practise projecting and varying the pitch, pace, and tone of their voice to maintain audience interest and reinforce key messages when presenting
  • Use posture, body language, and movement effectively to support verbal communication and engage audiences confidently
  • Understand how to prepare and structure presentations that are clear, informative, engaging, and relevant to health and social care settings
  • Review how to create and use visual aids effectively to communicate important information and support learning
  • Identify effective ways to interact with audiences, encourage participation, and confidently manage challenging questions or situations
  • Develop confidence in delivering presentations during meetings, staff briefings, training sessions, audits, and professional discussions
  • Apply presentation skills to workplace scenarios and receive constructive feedback on communication style, delivery, and overall impact
  • Recognise the importance of clear communication in promoting teamwork, professionalism, and quality care delivery

Target Audience

This course is designed for Care Managers, Care Supervisors, team leaders, senior carers, and care staff who are new to delivering presentations or who wish to improve their confidence, communication style, and presentation impact within health and social care environments.
